Hi, welcome to the Privacy Policy of HONEY ISLAND CONSULTORIA DE INVESTIMENTOS S/A ("HONEY ISLAND"), registered with the CNPJ/MF under no. 40.310.154/0001-02, headquartered at Rua Marechal Deodoro, 630, Centro, Curitiba, PR, CEP 80.010-010. We are an investment firm focused on startups, and we analyse and seek out startups for investment across Latin America.

When you browse our website, you are trusting us with your information. Your privacy matters to us, and it is Honey Island's policy to respect it. This website is committed to protecting the privacy of the clients and users ("you"/"your") who visit it. When you fill in our forms, you provide us with personal and/or business information. We therefore collect the content you provide, for example when you complete the contact form or any subscription form on our website, including:

Registration data, such as your name, the company you work for and your job title;
Contact data, such as your postal address, email address and phone number(s);

Other Personal Data necessary for providing our services.

Who do we share your data with?

To provide our services, your personal data may be shared with:

Service provider partners responsible for the administration, storage and security of this data;
Competent judicial, administrative or governmental authorities, whenever required by law, request, requisition or court order;
Automatically, in the event of a change in our corporate structure, such as a merger, acquisition or incorporation.

When sharing your data with our partners as described above, your data may be transferred to servers outside Brazil (cloud computing), provided these partners respect the privacy and data protection of clients and users at a level consistent with that offered by Brazilian law and by this Privacy Policy, and offer adequate security conditions for storing and processing this data.

Your personal data is kept in our database for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of data processing, including compliance with legal and contractual obligations to which we are subject.

Anonymisation, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, or data processed in breach of the law;
Portability of your data to another service or product provider, upon the data subject's express request and in accordance with the regulations of the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD);
Deletion of data processed with the data subject's consent;
Information about the public or private entities with which Honey Island has shared your data;
Information about the possibility of not giving your consent, and about the consequences of refusing;

In addition to the nine main data subject rights set out in Article 18, the LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law) mentions others, such as:

The data subject's right to file a complaint against the controller with the ANPD and with consumer protection bodies.
The right to object to processing carried out without consent, where it does not comply with the law.

Some of these rights can be exercised directly by the data subject by managing their account information, while others will require a request to be submitted for Honey Island to assess and take any further action.

Users may exercise any other right provided by law, even if not listed here. In some cases your request may not be fulfilled, but if that happens, we'll explain why.

How do we keep your personal data more secure?

All personal data submitted through our website is stored in a private database with access restricted to authorised personnel, who are contractually bound to keep the information confidential and not to misuse it.
